City-Off Works a little differently to a typical Survivor. There will be an initial qualifying round of 27 cities, in which you can vote 5 cities IN and 2 cities OUT from the list displayed for each region (Africa and the Middle East; The Americas; Asia and Oceania; Europe). In the 'season', each city will play one opponent in 15 individual competitions, before the winners from each region enter the finals, which will run in the basic survivor format of 60 cities with one eliminated per round.

I won't be voting in the qualifying rounds, except in the event of a tie; I will vote in the 'season', where my vote will be discounted in a tie, and in the 'finals', where ties will be broken by previous votes.

Here are my remarks:
AMERICAS:
Well, 3 cities from Argentina and 3 from Mexico, it may be a bit too much and Guatemala city, I'm not sure at all.
Montevideo, Asuncion, Port of Prince and Boston would qualify, on the other hand, for many reasons, at least historical.
But it's only a proposal.
ASIA:-OCEANIA:
Suva, well, frankly, should be dropped
.
You should include
Tashkent
and
Kyoto
(and drop Suva and Fukuoka)
AFRICA-MIDDLE EAST:
Mecca
should really replace Kigali (which is in Rwanda, not Uganda)
EUROPA:
Lyon (
) should really be dropped and
Budapest
should be put in (for obvious historical reasons)
As for Köln (Cologne), maybe Frankfurt would have been better, but I'm not so sure.

Lyon was a close one. It came down to Lisbon, Lyon, Marseilles, Naples, Birmingham, Oslo, Frankfurt, Budapest, Ankara, Bucharest and Helsinki for the last couple of spots, but I figured France deserved a 2nd.
The three from Argentina was a tough choice, but I couldn't justify picking Cordoba over Rosario or vice versa. I really, really wanted to put Montevideo in but it would have been at the expense of Guatemala City, and I figured I needed a second central American city.
Suva is included because I figured there needed to be at least one Pacific city, and Tashkent didn't because I forgot Central Asia (I edited out Chengdu in favour of Almaty at the last minute).
I always mix up Kigali and Kampala, which is meant to be there instead. Oops, will fix now.
Remember that the lists can be modified in the individual threads

For EUROPE:
It is better to take Hamburg for Cologne, because it is the second biggest city of Germany and the most important city in North Germany.
Zurich is the most important city in Switzerland. It can replace Geneva.
For AFRICA AND THE MIDDLE EAST:
Casablanca should be on the list for Marrakesh.

As you know, Hughento, I won't be able to connect for one week. So, if you wish, I've already cast my vote in the pairings. As it's not a "classical" survivor, I think it's not a problem to vote early. And it increases the turnout !
But, of course, you do as you want and you can ignore entirely the following list.
Especially if it's too much work for you !
BTW, random is real sh...... London-Warsaw, Kiev-Stockholm, etc how can we choose ?!
