Jesse Ventura Ron Paul Stephanie Miller on Larry King Jesse Guest Host pt.1

Jesse Ventura Ron Paul Stephanie Miller on Larry King Jesse Guest Host pt.3
Jesse Ventura Ron Paul Stephanie Miller on Larry King Jesse Guest Host pt.4
Jesse Ventura Ron Paul Stephanie Miller on Larry King Jesse Guest Host pt.5

This was a pretty fun discussion to watch. Jesse Ventura sitting in for Larry King, accompanied by Rod Blagojevich and Ron Paul. Also two women who were both hacks for their respective parties.

CNN should dump Larry King and keep Jesse permanently. Tongue

Jesse Ventura sitting in for Larry King, now there's a contrast in style!!  As to the discussion, I thought it was rather interesting to watch.  It was better than some of the other stuff on CNN.

Anybody is better than Larry.  If I had a dollar for every time he missed a prime opportunity for a followup question or went off on a tangent of irrelevant questions I'd be able to buy CNN and fire him.

As for the show, I think a Libertarian Supreme Court Justice (if Obama can find a good Libertarian judge) would add a good perspective to the discourse on the court.

Damn, Jesse's not going to need to eat breakfast tomorrow.  He's still going to be full from feasting on those hack girls weak arguments.

Yeah, those two were pretty embarrassing. You could see Jesse waving them to hush from the side when he was trying to have a conversation with Paul or Blago.

The one on the left really gave herself away as a Democratic hack rather than a principled supporter of civil liberties when Ron Paul suggested Judge Andrew Napolitano for the U.S. Supreme Court and she derided him as a "Fox News personality" as if he were standard Fox neocon fare.

Fun thing about the GOP hackery with the Supreme Court is that Obama can either (a) appoint a liberal and get blasted "as obviously being a socialist" or (b) appoint a moderate/libertarian/conservative and get blasted "as obviously nervous about the election and pandering to voters."

He's in a no-win situation as usual.

Appointing a libertarian would be "pandering to voters"? When's the last time a libertarian was appointed to the Supreme Court?

Well, now that I think about it, the libertarian would most likely be painted as a liberal by Rush, Beck and Hannity because of previous decisions on social issues made and would be in the (A) category.

It would be great if a libertarian got appointed to the court, but it isn't ever going to happen unless we have a really cool president.  Libertarianism is pretty much great except for the whole legalization of pot thing (caveat: unless the welfare state is gone permanently, then Id be for it, I just dont want to subsidize some addict).

You wouldn't be.  In fact, that "addict" would likely have more money available to him as a pot legalization would probably drive the cost of the plant down considerably.

Blago comes across very well there. It's remarkable what happens when you're freed from the shackles of politics.

If we put drug addicts in jail, we're already subsidizing them by paying for their entire room and board and everything without even any hope that they'll find jobs and start living self-sufficiently.

Just got around to watching the whole thing.  Great conversation - though Blago was throwing out the platitudes left and right.  I also could have done without the women, however, Tantaros was nice eye candy.  Id like to get Ventura's book...

The whole Tiger Woods stuff was a waste of time.

Wait, is this a real circus CNN just threw together or like The Onion?

edit: It looks like a real video, but I had to question my assumptions when Jesse started being conspiratorial about his book.  Shame on CNN btw.  Why not invite that balloon boy's parents on  the show too?  F'n stupid, asking Ron Paul & Blagojevich about Tiger Woods?

Uch, how many times is Paul going to say, "I beleive in Libertarain values and the Constitution."  I can see he isn't as sharp as he use to be when he ran for President in 2008.  The two partisan bimbos were really annoying.  They always had to jab each other.  Its sucks that this is the state of politics.  You can't have a discussion about policy.  It has to degrade into taunting and finger-pointing.  Blagojevich did well the interview, but there is something sneaky about the way he speaks.

Oh yeah, Jesse Ventura is a horrible anchor/interviewer.  He's not very subtle, but anything is better than Larry King.

lol at Republican strategist saying Obama took us to a war in Afghanistan.  I guess that's part of the strategy of blaming Obama for everything.  Its Obama's economy and wars.

Ventura was great, Paul was great, and even Blago was likable. They should create a full-time show. Between that and Naps on Fox, cable news could become awesome overnight.
