Fed Chair Alan Greenspan raises interest rates in 1999, thus causing the NASDAQ (dot-com) bubble to pop early that year. The economy goes into a recession in 2000. Everything else stays the same. How would this election turn out? You pick the VPs. Discuss, with maps.

I agree with you about Bush Jr. winning, but I think the election will be closer than that since Feinstein (not Fiersteen) will energize the female vote in favor of Gore.

Why do you keep referring to someone who isn't actually a "Jr." as Jr.?

Shouldn't it be "2000: Bush vs Gore Jr. w/ dot-com recession"?

I refer to GWB as Bush Jr. for convience. I mean, both his name and his father's name are George Bush. I know refering to him as Jr. isn't technically correct, but it's just so much easier and less confusing. BTW, I know Gore is actually Al Gore Jr., but since his father isn't well known on the national stage (unlike Bush's father), he is just known as Al Gore. Now, are you going to respond to my scenario or not?
