Since the wall came down, it's been very much a FC. Mega-HC beforehand though.

The land of art and culture is a massive FC in my book.  How could the land that produced such luminaries as Wagner be anything else?

Again.

You can't rate the entire history, millions of living and already dead simply under simple labels.

That's stupid and immature.

That's certainly an unusual combination.

They have probably the best political/economic system in the world, have made a terrific contributions to the arts, philosophy, literature, and science, and eat simple but delicious food. Also German girls in dirndls. Grin

They're both chick magnets (I have no idea how that worked in Wagner's case, he was an ugly sonofabitch).

far, far superior to the United States, but Denmark constitutes the ideal society that all nations should strive to emulate.

FC between 1890 and 1918. HC before and since then.

The Germans as a decentralized tribe are of course FFs.

True.

They have probably the best political/economic system in the world,

Strongly disagree.

Germany =/= Bavaria!!!

FC between 1890 and 1918. HC before and since then.

Why exactly 1890? Bismarck out of office? Anti-Scialist Laws lapsed? Social Democrats became strongest party in the Reichstag (I'm sure that's your point... Wink)?
