By the sound of things coming out Ramallah it's not long until Yassir Arafat dies.
How long do you all think he's got left? Is he already dead? And what will happen when he dies?

I'm hoping he's dead already and they're just not sure how to break the news

Whilst I don't usually wish death on anybody, that may be the only way to remove this most stubborn of elements from the Palestinian government. Hopefully we get a peaceful transition to whoever replaces him.

More or less my line of thinking

I would prefer a Palestinian civil war that ended in the defeat of the terrorist factions.  That would be unlikely, so I will settle for a peaceful transition to a genuine pro-peace candidate.

Expect any replacement to be even more recalcitrant.

I has just been reported that Arafat is in a coma. It looks like he might be dying, but reports are inconsistant

Well it shouldn't be too long now, they just put him on life support.

Maybe once he's gone they'll get someone reasonable so things can actually get done in Israel.

Yeah, I've just checked...the hospital has denied it. It might still be true, though...anyways, I guess it's just a question whether he has died [/i]already.

He is still alive, but not going strong. It is probably just a question of time before he dies.
I wonder what this will mean i Palestine/Israel - and no I don't think that everything will be halleluja. One man can never be the cause of a conflict between two people - It takes a whole lot more

It was Mark Twain, but thats neither here nor there.

Arafat hasn't got long left. Please don't let it lead to civil war.

This is very sad. Yasser Arafat is a hero for all he has done to fuel the anti-Jew agenda. It should be clear to all that he was poisened. The Jews will not get away with this.

Praise Allah.
