This for those who continue to falsely insist the tea party movement is one giant monolith that is unified behind Republican corporatism and wars...

I don't think anybody has said otherwise (at least not that I've really seen).

I don't recall many people saying that either. People have said they're are misinformed people being manipulated by Republicans, but that's not the same thing.

I still think it's more than two, but at least the media is acknowledging it's not a single movement. Also, they completely ignored foreign policy which is also part of the Paul - Palin split.

They both worship and support Capital.  Any other differences are incidental.

Nope, they don't.

Sarah Palin, like you and Barack Obama, doesn't care about peace and freedom.

Ron Paul does.

I've never noticed any evidence of that, lib.  You do realize he's a member of the GOP don't you?

That's like saying 'he may have been a member of the SS, but really at heart he liked Jews'.  If you are a member of an organization dedicated to genocide, you can't really avoid some besmirchment.

No, it isn't. The Republican Party is just an empty meaningless label, as is the Democratic Party.

Yeah, other than the drug stuff, he fits in well enough with the culture warriors.

Paul positions on those issues do not explain how he is "culturally conservative".

Yeah, how dare Americans stand up to the status quo? They should just bend over and  take whatever the establishment gives them. Roll Eyes

The problem with Ron Paul's foreign policies is that he would let the world burn to the ground in the name of peace.  He would allow massive genocides and not give allies weapons to fight off evil dictatorships or nationalistic countries.  His position is absolute and can not be changed no matter the circumstance.  The guy is much scarier than Palin.

The Sarah Palin side isn't even a tea-party movement.  It's more of a neo-con "we want Bush and our religion back NAO" movement.

The Paul movement is for lower taxes, less government control and spending, and overall smaller government, and I applaud them for it.  More power to them.

The majority of those holding up Obama=Hitler signs are neo-cons, not libertarians.

Thank you for this reasonable assessment of the situation. Smiley
