Just a few Republican governors who took stimulus money:

Alaska: Fmr. Gov. Sarah Palin
Idaho Gov. Butch Otter
Louisiana Gov. Bobby Jindal
Mississippi Gov. Haley Barbour
South Carolina Gov. Mark Sanford
Texas Gov. Rick Perry
Alabama Gov. Bob Riley
Indiana Gov. Mitch Daniels
Florida Gov. Charlie Crist

Wow, Obama really has lots of yes-men among America's
Republican Governors!

Anyway, Crist should run as an Indy--it will give him a legit
chance to win and it will cause some things to detonate in
the Florida Republican party, which will make for good
entertainment.

Why did the NRSC ask Crist to run for this seat? I thought that even back then Rubio was doing pretty well in the polls against Meek.

Won't, Shouldn't.

If he wants to have a political career, it has to be through the GOP.  This is FL we're talking about, not CA or NY -- if he leaves the GOP, he's a dead man walking, politically.  (Regardless of what the current polls say.)
