No wonder that he's never able to ask this question when asked during a press conference or a debate.

Also, he planned to invade Iraq back in 1999, 2 years before he ignored that 8/06/01 memo warning of 9/11.

Here's a couple of major mistakes.

1. Ignoring this:

2.  Not being focused on capturing OBL:

At least we know Bush will never be on TV saying:

"I let the American people down..."

He will have raised the Republican standard of leadership since that speech in hiding in one of his coalition countries.

How in the world can you construe that memo as a direct threat for 9/11, and one which could have helped anyone prevent it?  All it says is that some guys wants to attack US soil.  How could this possibly be used to prevent and attack by a method previously unheard of?  These threats come in all the time.  If the memo said, some guy wants to hijack some jetliners and use them as guided missiles to destroy major buildings, that would be a different story.

The story mentions
1. that Bin Laden wanted to attack on US soil
2. They were trying to hijack planes
3. They were interested in attacking federal buildings

and for an added bonus, it mentions the WTC.

Now, pretend that Clinton is President and has ignored this memo.

Jfool, he's "planning" the attack in 1999?  He wasn't sworn in until 2001 and didn't have his team together in 1999.

Hey, <<JFOOL's comment reveiling his lack of vocabulary deleleted>>, that didn't stop him from thinking about invading Iraq. You are a moron.

You stated that Bush was "planning" this in 1999, not "thinking" about.

I would certainly hope that any candidate for elective Federal office, including Kerry, would be "thinking" about about how to deal with enemies and potential enemies.  Only a fool would not.

You DO NOT THINK that any candidate for president should think about the possibility of military force, expecially against a hostile government that two presidents had attacked?

They why did Bill Clinton bomb him numerous times?

I hope that no major party would ever be stupid enough to nominate a presidential candidate who didn't think about using force.  I wouldn't accuse Kerry about not thinking about the use of force.
