No party since Roosevelt/Truman times acheived that.

And I really can't see 1996 Dole performing that well.

Yes I like this discussion very much. Let's make it as exciting as we can when it comes to these 2 candidates. It would likely be based on the economy, their senate voting records, and their military records. 20 years of GOP hurts Dole though even with a good economy.
