He mentioned it some months ago when he left CNN, but has been quiet since then.  He's now floating the idea again:

I liked Dobbs until he became a birther.

He is a monster who judges people exclusively on their race.

Do you know his wife is Mexican?

Dobbs has terrible views on basically all of the issues he makes a big deal about, though he's actually not too bad in other regards. I would never dream of voting for him, all in all.

I'd prefer him in the Senate. His gradual 180 on immigration has made him more electable, and I really want to see someone better than Menendez for NJ.

That isn't an excuse.

Let me see here:

Lou Dobbs, widely known protectionist nativist bigot.
In other words: Horrible Person.

He'd certainly make the race more interesting. Not getting my vote.

he'll have money and ID, this isn't Bob Barr we're talking about running. He won't win, but he can very much decide the election

Not by any stretch of the imagination.  He'd struggle to break one half of one percent.  An obscure cable host on a bottom-of-the-pile news network isn't a great launching post for a Presidential campaign.

I couldn't stand Lou Dobbs when I was in high school and just starting to follow the issues. Now I like him alot more. He seems like an honest man who would do the right thing. However, I have strong disagreements with him on the border.

Lou Dobbs is an attention whore, just with a smaller audience than most attention whores.

Time to revert to the high school version of yourself.

Idk about that. I was alot more conservative in high school. No I'm liberal on the issues, but am as right wing as they come on the candidates and events in the news. I think it's a good combination for a presidential run.

That means I'm a young Mike Savage or Rush Limbaugh when it comes to Obama and the democrats. It also means I disagree with Republicans on some issues.
