Here is a more descriptive summary of the candidates.

I think you all know who I'm supporting. Wink

Also, I'll have one up for the Republicans in a minute.

Thurbert Baker for sure.  In addition to everything else, the man is an FF for defying Republican demands to sue the federal government over its passage of the health care reform law.

Who has the best chance at beating Roy Barnes?

This is me being honest here:

No one. Every candidate except Barnes is polling in single digits, while Roy is almost at 50%. Also, Barnes is, by far, the most competitive for the general election, so that might help swing the primary in his favor.

You know, if Roy wasn't running, I'd most likely support Baker.

Did you know that the Legislature tried to impeach him for not doing what Sonny said? Even though he's an independently elected official! Ridiculous.

It's a tough call. I'll be voting in the Republican primary though for my State Senate race so its a call I don't actually have to make Tongue

I really like both Poythress and Baker. I think Barnes is the only candidate that could really win, though. Eh.

Roy Barnes, he is the only one who can defeat Oxendine.

Barnes. It'd be pretty amazing to actually pick up the governorship of Georgia this year.

I like Barnes and Baker, but I have a hard time seeing either getting 50% +1 in a 2010 GA general election. Barnes due to lingering hard feelings about his term as governor (though he's doing much better than I expected in making up ground here), and Baker because---well, you know...... Sad

I guess Poythress or Porter.

Probably Roy Barnes, as he's the only one I know about.
