Does Poizner still think he can win? I must say, his gumption is pretty impressive given that he has been outspent by astronomical margins.

Jerry Brown has got to be laughing his ass off at how much they're going to spend to lose.

It's pretty astounding how far to the right of Schwarzenegger they're both running.

The other day, my boyfriend saw a Poizner ad in a latino majority city in Santa Cruz county, talking about how liberal Whitman is regarding the border fence and security.

Didn't Poizner run as a liberal in 2006?

You could just say "Watsonville", you know. (Also, why is he in Watsonville?)

Not a big surprise that those ads are running there. Republicans in that part of the world are pretty much all Republicans solely because of opposition to immigration.

Actually,  "Watsonville" means nothing to me, while his description of the area does.

And while the above is correct, Republicans in Hispanic-majority areas are very likely to be anti-immigration, remember that unless he was watching cable, media markets are pretty damn large chunks of area.  Poizner is probably running the ad statewide.

He probably advertised on one of the Monterey TV stations.  And given the number of Spanish-language stations listed, maybe the English-language stations really cover his target audience.
