To those who have it...How do you invade a country?

For example, I invaded Iraq.  However, my troops aren't going into Iraq, they're just getting killed very slowly while they sit in Turkey.

Yeah, pretty much. Though I remember bizarre stuff happening before, like the Iraqis killing 130,000 of my men while losing about 1,000 themselves.

I've done that, but when I deploy men to say...Turkey, they don't enter Iraq.

For example, I am in the war room, ready to send troops to Iraq.  I adjust troop levels, press do it, and Turkey offers to take my troops.  My troops then go to Turkey, but they don't enter Iraq, making it near impossible for me to win the war, as for some reason Iraq can still kill thousands of my men without even being able to see them.

It was also annoying the time Turkey managed to occupy Iraq and make the New Ottoman Empire Tongue haha

I've had that game for a few years now. I usually enjoy it. Sometimes I'm invading places all the time, other times, I like to use diplomacy. I can never get through the full game because the save file won't work.

Build up your military prescense in the region before declaring war. Iraq will ALWAYS at some point force a war, so it's best to deploy your troops to the surrounding areas before you declare war. Your military prescense must be larger than Iraq's in order to win.
