The part I don't get is the "genuine paintings" bit. I thought they were going for a separate attack on Whitman for stopping gun sales (she's anti-gun, she's anti-second amendment, she hates your right to bear arms, etc.), but then in the same breath they praise her for ending the faux paintings industry thus implying that she should be praised for ending the gun sales. So is Poizner trying to say that guns shouldn't be sold easily? Because I can imagine a few Republican primary voters not liking that message.

Strange ad overall.

This ad is a great argument for the "I approve this message" requirement in federal elections. I doubt Poizner would've ran it if California had the same requirement and he would've had to have attached his name to this insanely stupid ad.
