I didn't buy into the PPP poll that showed Hickenlooper up by 11 in Colorado, and I don't think I necessarily buy into this one either, but it's interesting to see how McInnis has now pulled even with the mayor of Denver according to PPP.

This was a poll taken last weekend of 1,060 Colorado voters.  The MOE is 3 percent.

John Hickenlooper (D) 44%
Scott McInnis (R)    44%

Fav/Unfav

John Hickenlooper 47/33
Scott McInnis         31/30

PPP says that McInnis is now leading among Independent voters, which is unsurprising given the national and especially local political climate.  Colorado has made a run to the right since electing Obama and I think the quickness of the trend is surprising a lot of people.

Rasmussen has consistently shown McInnis leading by six, and given the usual leftward lean of PPP I think it's safe to say that the Republican is up by a few points.  Either way, the trend for McInnis is up and that has to be given the Hickenlooper camp a good reason to worry.
