What is the probability of Huckabee even running?

Both are solid conservatives and very underrated. Huckabee may not run so we'll have to wait and see.

If Palin and Huck BOTH don't run...doesn't this push Newt Gingrich to the front-runner? He'd have their support against Romney

Possibly but don't rule out Daniels.

I'm actually getting quite worried at the prospects of a Romney versus Palin GOP primary. With no one left to split the far right vote, we may be looking at a Sarah Palin nomination. The thought makes me cringe.

I'm not sure what would be worse.  Palin or Huckabee.

Hmm, Newt Gingrich if he runs would split Palin's votes. The same could be said for Rick Santorum who is a long shot at best but nonetheless splits votes.

Santorum is obviously running, so any poll that doesn't include him is less accurate than other polls (which are already inaccurate enough).

I kind of believe the same thing. He's had his face in the news a lot recently. I don't understand why he's running though. His last election wasn't exactly a good spring board into this one.
