For the second time this primary season I got a telephone call today for a poll in the SC House 39 race.  The pollster identified herself as being from Conquest Research both times.  (Actually, Conquest Communications Group from what I could find out, tho it took some effort, as there is a UK firm by the name of Conquest Research that does marketing research).  As I didn't recognize the name I got curious and did a little web searching.

It seems they have a bit of a reputation for doing push polling, but in neither case did I get a push question, tho the first time they did ask my opinion of Graham for some reason and some issue questions, some of which I didn't give the duckspeak GOP responses to, which may have confused the script.  Today's was a straight up survey of are you going to vote in the primary, favorabilities for each of the three candidates (2 candidates I have favorable views one the 3rd I am neutral), followed by who I intended to vote for. (The first time, I gave undecideds to all those questions as I hadn't done my candidate research yet.)  Of course, since I answered Frye and the Conquest website lists him as a client, the script may have called for the questions to end there since I wasn't in need of pushing.
