is $1080. per month per person........the old was $862.

So should I thank Blue Cross, the PA Insurance Commissioner, or Obamacare, or any combination of the above?

I don't know how a small business with a lot of employees could ever pay for decent coverage.

They can't. It's better to give raises and encourage your employees to purchase it if you're a small business. Once Obamacare goes into effect you will be able to drop it though since your employees will be required to pay for it themselves. Actually large corporations will do the same thing and we'll all be on our own thanks to Obamacare.

What do you mean 'per person'?  Are you employing people?

In any case private insurance is basically worthless whatever the price, as it doesn't offer any security.

better than the alternative

Who is 'we'?  You mean like a nanny and gardener?  And Cook and the driver?

How will the new intrusion in 2014 effect how you can pay your workers? No one to my knowledge has given that perspective on here and I'd like to discuss it.

Somehow this thread makes me really glad that I'm living in a country with single-payer.

Yes!  Keep in mind that even if Grumpy Gramps pays the $1,000/person, they really aren't guaranteed access to health care.

Better than the alternative though. Just ask someone who has no health insurance in this country.
