Yes, i know there's rumours that he wants to rid the forum of all it's libertarian elements, but he's actually sometimes been half-sympathic to libertarian views. He has appeared to be semi-skeptical of global warming for example:

While I usually don't wade into political topics, I would like to contribute this:  proof of anthropogenic cause to global climate change or even whether global climate change is occurring is not the issue (we can never have definitive proof in the scientific sense since we have no parallel Earth to use as a control).  The real question is one of probability of human and economic impact due to climate change.  The connection between certain gasses and energy-holding ability of the atmosphere is well established (CFCs, CH4, NOx, CO2, and H2O - some of these are long-lived.  H2O concentration is part of the weather cycle and is not growing with time).   Is it a 10% chance that the increase of the concentration of these gasses will cause an increase of 2C over 50 years and this has a 30% chance of reducing North American crop output by 10%, 20% chance of 3 category 5 hurricanes each season, ... etc.  From this, math can be used to estimate the economic and human costs (much the way insurance companies assess their risk of exposure) and what appropriate front-end tax should be applied to emission of these gasses (classic environmental economics of externalities and shared resources).

This is a science.  Design experiments and data collection methodologies, develop models, and analyze the information and determine probabilities of what will occur (not if or when).  A lot of this is happening.  We need to think of this analytically and not emotionally - because it doesn't matter what we believe, physics and chemistry don't care.

Enjoy,
Dave

Leip voted for Joe Kennedy is the Massachusetts special.

Which means he'll probably be voting for Cahill this November.

He's certainly plenty libertarian about exercising his authority on the forum. Otherwise, I don't know.
