If anyone who made a controversial and/or inaccurate prediction left the forum, there would be no one left on the forum - myself included.

Beet may have been wrong about the witch, but I think he'll be proven right that the GOP wave is going to carry a lot of nutjobs into office in races that are currently not expected to be competitive.

Ha.  It's never really a good sign when your first commercial television advertisement is to clarify that you're not a wiccan.  Still, she has raised about two million dollars.  In most states that isn't much, but in Delaware you could use that to buy every voter in the state lunch and still have enough left over to buy a decent hand-held, battery-powered vibrator as a consolation prize for the loser.

Ah, he'll get over himself if she loses easier than he'll get over his melancholy if she wins.

But not everyone has created a whole thread on it (which, incidentally, was pinned)....

He didn't say "harass", he said "harras". Which is the same thing except not against the rules.

He's a good poster when he's not spouting alarmist nonsense.

Of course not. I want to rub it in!!!!!!! Wink

Oh yeah, and he's actually a really smart guy and a pretty good poster when he isn't tying himself into pessimism induced knots.

Now I'm relatively new here, but even Beets more pessimistic posts usually have a lot of value in them (this specific instance being the exception that proves the rule). He's not a hack by any stretch of the imagination and usually has concrete reasons for believing what he believes. IMO hes one of the most valuable posters even when I disagree with him I usually get some bit of value out of his posts.

It'd be a shame for the forum to lose him for any reason- especially for a minor mistake like making one overly pessimistic post (that I agreed with for the record and now feel a bit ridiculous for myself).
