God I hate to say it, but I agree with FDR on this one.  RINOs are an endangered species and for good reason.

HPs.

So-called "moderate Republicans" are the absolute worst, not to mention an incredibly annoying bunch.

I would say hardcore Republicans piss me off, especially when they argue something they know it wrong like Don't Ask Don't Tell, Gay Marriage, the War in Iraq, and various agencies that are essential.  If we took a poll of hardcore Republicans, there's no doubt in my mind that half of them would still beleive that Saddam Hussein had nuclear weapons prior to the invasion.

I don't know what a "Me-too" Republican is.  Judging from the video, I assume it means someone who says they agree with the opposing with the party on an issue, but still wants to knock them out of office.  Sounds like politics as usual to me.

I'd say "moderate" Republicans would believe the same thing. The only difference is that they love abortion, gun-grabbing, and corporate welfare even more.

There really was no difference between "Moderate" Republicans like Jacob Javits, and the Lyndon Johnson. Both supported War in Vietnam, both supported the Great Society, etc.

So if you're a liberal or "other".... and you hate moderate Republicans, and presumably hate conservative Republicans.... what kind of Republican DO you like?

I don't know what a "Me-too" Republican is.

It was the conservative, isolationist wing of the GOP's epithet for Republicans who were willing to go along with the New Deal

Wow, 74 years later and the GOP is still using the "he's evil and fundamentally changing the American government we know and love" line.

If you mean Moderate GOPers in the 1930s-1970s mold, then FFs (which is how I voted). If you mean Moderate GOPers in the 1980s-2000s mold, then HPs.

A libertarian Republican of course Smiley
I don't hate all moderate Republicans, just those who seem to have very little difference between them and liberal Democrats.  Thus why I posted the FDR video.  Alf Landon pretty much ran on a "I will do everything that FDR is doing only better" platform.  Now say a moderate Republican who actually was moderate (50/50 on issues), I might think is less of an asshole, but guys like Jim Jeffords and Lincoln Chafee (when they were Republicans) seemed to be the definition of RINOs.
Then again, my definition of a Republican in Name Only is more literal (thus the use of the term "Me-Too") than the far right of the Republican party's definition.

It is a sad testament to the state of the GOP today that Reagan might not have survived a Republican primary today.

That would be good news, if it were true. The country would have been better off had Reagan not survived a Republican primary 30+ years ago.

He would have been. Everything they stand for he advocated. If you're referring to the fakes who aren't really tea parties but are out to give them a bad name and cause trouble, then Reagan would've been smarter than that.

Reagan would have a shot at 49 or 50 states again today. Yes, he would've won the primaries recently.

Actually the 'fakes who aren't really tea parties but are out to give them a bad name and cause trouble' are the ones who like Reagan. These are the establishment Republican astroturf clowns who are suddenly opposed to big government and reckless spending since it's Obama doing it rather than Bush or Reagan.

Exactly.  I especially loved when the Palin-ites attacked asked for Reagan back while criticizing Obama for doing something Reagan supported (what was that; I forgot what it was).

Oh yeah, the Russian Nuclear Weapons treaty...They called him a coward or something and said they wanted Reagan...I loled.

The Tea Party is dominated by neo-cons.  In the beginning, it was the libertarians.  More power to the libertarians.

No, he wouldn't.

He only won Maine, and Vermont because of legacy GOP voting by Liberals, the collapse of the GOP in LI, Westchester and Upstate, would prevent him from winning NY, the destruction of GOP dominancei n Delco, Montco, and Bucks would cost him PA, the decline in GOP support in the collar counties around Cook from 65% GOP to 50% GOP would cost him ILL. And lastly demographic changes in LA and loss of moderate GOPers in the Bay area would cost him CA. Not mention changes in King County and surronding areas costing him WA.

The fact that people like Jim Jeffords are considered "RINOs" has more to do with the direction the Republican Party went rather than any change of position by Jeffords.
