With all of these states up next Tuesday, one would hope for a lot more interesting races than there actually are. It should still be a fun night though, especially if Lincoln bites the dust.

The 8th is the last big primary day for a while. Between then and August there are only three more states (Utah, Georgia and Oklahoma) and some runoffs. I think it's worthwhile for big multi-state days; there's definitely no need for individual threads for the smaller primary dates.

Yeah, there won't be another state worth really watching until Arizona comes up imo.

The Utah primary will pick the next senator.

And the Georgia gubernatorial primaries are competitive on both sides.

Yeah, but I don't care much about those.

Something odd going on in Garland County, Arkansas: The folks running the runoff election there have decided to only open two polling places for the entire county. Garland County is the most populous county in the state that Bill Halter won.

My guess is that this has something to do with budget cuts and isn't inherently sinister (although I guess I wouldn't be surprised if it turns out it was). Not good news for Halter either way though.

Halter is going to win pretty easily anyway, I suspect. I won't lose any sleep over it, although it is worth noting.

Please let Orly Taitz win (I know she won't, sadly)!

Hmmm...  Scott in with only one precinct left.

Halter 52%, Lincoln 48%

First round was 46%, 34%, 20%.

If this were to continue in other places, Lincoln will win.

Ugh... what the hell? Are the Morrison people actually voting based on ideology?

The SC Democrats just nominated an unemployed military vet who had no signs, no money and no website, and hadn't been seen since he filed.

BAHAHAHAHHAAAAAA. PATHETIC.
He doesn't even have a website! WTF?

How is that Hatorade tasting?

Halter got some very strong showings in from Little River and Miller, two counties around Texarkana which were his strongest counties in the primary too.  Just fyi.

I don't think this puppy is over with just yet.

Lafayette, Sevier and Hempstead too.  Interesting.

Getting ready to adjust your call again yet? Tongue

Rove got it wrong too, but predicting only 93% in a run-off is especially good ... Wink

What the hell? lol.

If thinking somebody who nearly won had a chance means you're on shrooms, I guess I'm on shrooms! On a somewhat related note, I think you would be rather amusing on psychedelics, Blubb.

5/18 was so much better than this! Oh well, I guess it puts Sestak's accomplishment in perspective.
