Big News! Freedom Watch w/ Judge Napolitano TV debut date and first guests

Finally Freedom Watch gets the slot it deserves on television rather than being relegated to the internet.

With Ron Paul representing the libertarian wing, and Palin representing the militarist wing, this should be good.

Do you mean that in a good or bad way?

Well, take a look at the Reform Party.  It formed around a gadfly presidential candidate, later managed to elect somebody to statewide office, and then quickly collapsed into sharply divided factions, soon fading into total obscurity and irrelevance.  While the 'Tea Party' is merely a subfaction of the GOP instead of an independent entity like Reform was, the similarities are striking.

In not many years from now, people will look back at the 'Tea Party' movement and think "oh yeah, I remember those clowns."

People will look back and see how the grassroots tea party movement changed history and saved America from people like you.

Comparing yourself to Gandhi is in rather poor taste you know, and not one that he would appreciate in the context you're applying it to.  Especially given his sympathy towards the plight of Jews.

I'm beginning to find Libertas absolutely adorable.

Every few years a grassroots movement attempts to change the world, but it never goes anywhere.

Uh no, nothing like this has arisen in several decades at the very least.

The aforementioned Reform Party based around a candidate who got a lot more voters than any teabagger has.

Elaborating is for corporate warmongering extremists.

The Reform Party was not a grassroots movement. It was a personality cult around one man that crashed and burned. The tea parties are motivated by ideas that will never die, not by any one man.

Thank you for posting the picture of one of the many varied leadership figures in the decentralized tea party movement against the government.

Here's another member of the many varied leadership figures in the tea party movement:

That's Dale Robertson, the co-founder and President of the Tea Party Council, and owner and operator of teaparty.org.

The summit is not a bad idea. Anything to get so-cons to actual listen for at least two seconds is a good thing. Unfortunately, it will likely go out the other ear.

Although the whole point is that the show is now on television, here are the videos of the first half at least, with Ron Paul, Sarah Palin, and Rand Paul (it's also on Fox Business tonight at 8pm EST and again Sunday at 8pm and 11pm):

Ron Paul/Sarah Palin on Freedom Watch 06/12/10: Tea Party Summit p.1/3

Ron Paul/Sarah Palin on Freedom Watch 06/12/10: Tea Party Summit p.2/3

Ron Paul/Sarah Palin/Rand Paul on Freedom Watch 06/12/10: Tea Party Summit p.3/3

I've yet to locate videos of the second portion of the show, featuring Ed Rendell, Jim DeMint, Michele Bachmann, and Dick Armey.

The tea party movement is just another means by which the GOP hopes to regain control by. It is probably the biggest astroturf campaign this country has ever seen, and I doubt it will ever end. Hopefully this upcoming gilded age will revive the spirt of bill haywood, eugene debs, and people who actually have some love for humanity.
