A problem with the idea to post registrations in bold: if people quote a post, it'll make it harder to sort through, and we haven't really solved anything.

The whole registery thread in general is a mess. I can't think of much of a way to improve upon things as long as the forum is the way it is. I dob't know if bolding things will make any difference, and if people forget to do that, we're back to square one.

I don't see why commentary is needed in that thread.  Welcomes can easily be made via PM.

It's not, but that has never seemed to stop anyone before.

But if it were disallowed, it would.

But it promotes a sense of community and welcoming. It lets a new member who registers know he is welcome and not being ignored.

Alright - I'll give in on this one, and I throw my support behind the bill.

Well thank you. Smiley

That was a peripheral issue anyway, as the purpose of this bill is simply to fix the specific problem people have been complaining about with regard to changing states within a region.

Well, I'd say I could deal with the peripheral issue later if it arrises (as I believe it probably will), but as of now, it's looking like I won't be here much longer.  Tongue

So, I'd encourage the Senate to watch what happens, and if it becomes an issue, perhaps we should think about doing something to make the RG's job easier.

I'm sure this extremely active Senate will remain ever vigilant of such events.

I see no reason to oppose this I guess.

And, with seven ayes and three abstentions, we have passage and because of the unanimous support the 24-hour waiting period is waived. This is hereby sent to the governors for popular ratification.
