I'm thinking something like 21-19-16-15 (Rafsanjani-Karroubi-Moeen-Ahmadinejad) for the first round and a 59-41 Karroubi win in the second round.

The official results of the real results?

Official, identical, down to the last digit.
Real? We'd never know.

I'm asking about the official results if there would have been no Iraq War. I honestly don't think Ahmedinejad would have won, and I'm not sure that the Iranian regime would have been willing to rig the election in his favor (they possibly did in 2009, but taht's a different story). Since Iran had a Reformist President (Khatami) before 2005, I don't think the Mullahs would ahve been very afraid of another one coming to power, considering that the role of the President is mostly ceremonial.

Anyone else? I honestly think Ahmedinejad won due to the U.S. invasion of Iraq. Many Iranians wanted a tough guy to confront the U.S. (or just to send America a message), and Ahmadinejad fit the bill.
