I should also note that Edu was just barely ahead after the 1/4 finals, and that only he and Lewis tipped every game. Well done guys Smiley

Yeah, I received you PM and read that I was 6 points ahead and then I come here full of hope and find the disappointment of ending up 2nd Grin

World cup is something taken very seriously here, so obviously I watched every single game of it Tongue Even after the humiliation in the QF.

I kind of knew that Lewis was going to get there, but I saw you online and thought I'd tease you Wink

I was in Argentina for most of the 2006 World Cup, it was a big deal for sure. But I think it is increasingly a big deal everywhere Smiley

Orange avatars ftw, btw.

So it was a set-up Tongue

Yeah, it's true that. By the way, and this is somewhat unrelated, I was in Brazil during the 1994 world cup that they won, it was certainly a pretty great experience. Hope you had a good time here too despite we losing in the QF (against friggin Germany also Tongue)

Orange avatars should be worn by every foreign poster, the "Independent" ones (whatever that means) are horrible Grin

I'm going to sleep now, after all, the presidential election begins in 45 minutes and I plan to go vote in 4 hours.

The only other one I've ever worn for more than a day or so the past, say, five years is the Green one.

Oooh, so I won. Cheesy (Kind of thought so, but was never sure.) What do I win?

At first I felt miserable but then I realized that I only tipped one game. So in terms of tipping winners I had a 100% correct score for this World Cup.

Not really sure how I achieved this (probably luck), but hooray nonetheless.

The same tactic I used, but even more effectively: Tip as few games as possible Wink

If you'd tipped Brazil 13-1, you still would've had the fifth point. I think the scoring system was fair, but there are a couple of little tweaks i'd make next time: making margin of victory worth one point not two, removing the minus one point for neither team's score correct, and rather than the current no change, i'd take away a point for every goal beyong the draw if you tipped the loser (ie, if you tipped Greece 1-0 Morocco and Morocco won 3-2, lose one point, but if they won 3-0, lose three points)
