Still anyone's game, but missing a round is costly.
Just for interest's sake, you should calculate what kind of points everyone would have earned from the earlier games over in the other thread if we counted them.

Yeah well, I call the handgame by Luis Fabiano and I think Drogba ought to've gotten a penalty on the 91st, so I think I called it correctly. Tongue

Reason I logged on right now. Tomorrow tips.

Portugal - North Korea 2-0
Chile - Switzerland 1-0
Spain - Honduras 3-0.

How do we score the knockout rounds? Do we predict score after 90 minutes, or after 120 minutes? Either way we might do a "predict the winner if you're predicting a draw for a bonus point".

I said 2:1 for England in the other thread (we would technically have that now, if the offside goal from Klose didnīt count and the valid English one counted.)
The offside rule doesn't apply to goal kicks (nor to throw-ins). Crazy little detail, I know.

But yeah, not counting Lampard's was quite hilarious. Everyone in the room I was in (eight people) claims to have seen that clearly as it happened, without needing the replay.

Could someone please post the actual results since my last ladder update? I'll try and update the leader board this afternoon.
What was the last game included? I have no idea.

Netherlands - Brazil 1-2
Uruguay - Ghana 2-1

Not the results I'm hoping for, btw. Grin Although if Uruguay beats Brazil 2-1 in the semi, all is forgotten! Cheesy

Argentina - Germany 1-1, Germany to win (doing it for Paul)
Spain - Paraguay 2-0

Er... first team to score in Spain vs Germany to win the World Cup.

The Dutch lose World Cup finals. That is a well established principle that shall be obeyed this year.
You know what a Dutchman does after he's just won the World Cup? He lays his PlayStation aside.

I will defer to Paul the Octopus's judgement on that game. Which will be coming in tomorrow about 11am CET.

Netherlands - Uruguay 2-1.
