Yea I bet alot of people really miss the Carter economy. Our hostages loved his presidency as well I'm sure.  Gosh how did Reagan even win? Hmm. See those results are when you know it's not credible.

A lot of people miss the economy Carter's policies created that Reagan took credit for.

Stop

Libertas is right, at least somewhat. Reagan took credit for reducing the inflation rate, while in reality the Fed Chairman who reduced infaltion (Volcker) was appointed by Carter. I agree that Carter should have been more responsible about the economy while he was in office, though.

don't you realize that inflation is sticky on the way down? that is why the inflation in prices during the 70's was so high!

Working women caused inflation too. They started to get jobs more and more throughout the 70's which allowed for price increases because now you're dealing with 2 incomes to buy things like cars, houses, and boats.

That assuming it were true, would be temporary, until supply caught up with demand, except for relatively finite things like beach houses, in accessible and desirable places, with the right climate and water temps.

George H.W. Bush, with Gerald Ford a close second.

1. Carter
2. Ford
3. Bush Sr.
4. Clinton
5. Reagan
5. Bush Jr.
6. Nixon

I'll go with this

I wouldn't give that exact ordering, but that ranking isn't that far off.

Reagan.  I disagree with a lot of his political views,  but he was without a doubt the most purely effective President we've had since FDR.  He didn't fail at passing his agenda.
