Florida, California automatically go for Mickey which have Disneyland.
New York is the home of Bugs Bunny (he was created there) so it goes for him.
Texas, Georgia, Missouri, Maryland, Massachusetts go for Bugs because they all have a Six Flags. Bugs is the mascot.

DC goes for Mickey because...well...you'll catch on...

The more conservative states vote for Mickey because he was depicted as a soldier in 1929 and is therefore more patriotic.

Bugs Bunny is seen kissing many characters in the cartoon (a big smooch) and therefore more liberal states vote for him. Many see him as going "against the grain" by being a rebel. Bugs is also seen taking Elmer Fudd's gunn or stopping Elmer from using his gun. Clearly, Bugs is against second amendment rights. Kansas, West Virginia, Kentucky, Tennessee join the Mickey column.

Maine & New Hampshire has a lot of forests and mountains, where Bugs Bunny lives. They vote for him.

I see Mickey as the favorite of industry. He takes Michigan and Illinois.

High voter turnout in Pennsylvania gives it to Bugs by a slim margin. Most pundits had it going for Mickey.

Nevada goes for Mickey thanks to all the campaign donations from Las Vegas and Disney pouring money into the campaign.

Bugs Bunny has been to the desert to battle Yosemite Sam. Arizona and New Mexico vote for him.

Minnesota and Iowa vote for Bugs, because they see Mickey as an elitist -especially after he wore those fancy robes in Fantasia.

Alaska goes for Bugs bunny because Bugs has been to the North Pole. Has Mickey? No.

Election Day happens to be during Hunting Season in Virginia and due to a scam people think if they vote for the bunny, they will receive a free bunny. They were wrong. Virginia goes for Bugs.

My friend Peter lives in North Carolina. He would vote for Mickey. Put North Carolina in the Mickey column.

Ohio gets fed up with Bugs Bunny's crap and votes for Mickey by a huge margin.

Mickey Mouse (Blue): 284

Bugs Bunny (Red): 254

Mickey Mouse for the win. I'd vote Bugs.

Mickey Mouse wins.

Bugs Bunny is accused of "having a deep seeded hatred toward white people" because of all the Elmer Fudd stories. Also after the Looney Tune conventions, Bugs Bunny is "swift-boated" by Roger Rabbit.

Bugs Bunny wins after a recording surfaces of an anti-semitic rant by Mickey Mouse.
