Tea Time

Quote
You must be logged in to read this quote.

I found this to be an insightful analysis of what is currently going in this country vis-à-vis the tea parties. Americans are angry and will only be getting angrier in time.
Changing the label from (D) to (R) will do nothing to placate their- our- yearning for freedom.

I just had a tea time myself. I love tea. That's a delicious drink.

lol @ the idea that anything involving Dick Armey and Bill Kristol could be remotely populist at its core.

I will say I agree that I am disappointed the mainstream Tea Party doesn't seem to care about hating Wall Street and corporate influences on government--just the government itself.

The tea party will be kicking your asses in the midterm election this fall. They are the best thing that's happened to this country since Nixon authorized spying.

It's ironic how the "tea party" meme was started on a corporate network (CNBC) whose parent company (GE) had likely been saved from liquidation just months earlier by a backdoor government bailout.

Why would they call it a "Tea Party" if it's got nothing to do with tea?

It's the tea party because the tea party started freedom. Now they are renewing freedom.

The tea party didn't start freedom.

Oh I wasn't implying you weren't grass roots. A lot of grass roots, ordinary hard working Americans had their jobs saved by the implicit government rescue of GE (among others). Just because you work at CNBC with Rick Santelli doesn't mean you can't be grass roots.

GE? You meant Government Electric? The ones who own MSNBC?

And CNBC--which argues the complete opposite narrative of MSNBC.

I always found it amazing that in the early days they called themselves "teabaggers." I mean...how could they not know?
