You might notice that over half of Libby's reported posts haven't been acted on.

I'd love to see Rochambeau's stats.

One of Loony's reports was from me for the same reason as he reports me...reporting a post on one of Dave's boards is the only way to guarantee he sees something.  (It was the post when Loony said he cried himself to sleep over HoffmanJohn).

Reported Posts: 65
Moderated Posts: 50
Infraction Points: 0

Notice the extremely high reported-to-moderated ratio.

PS: There was an error in my previous statement.  I said my rate was 3,0,0.  It turns out that it was 4, 1, 0.  We regret the error.

I couldn't find Mikado's report in  my search, but I did find this unsuccessful  one against yours truly, haha, I forgot about that.  This is why I have 8 reports!

Here's the one I did of you:

Dave, you need to see this.  (Also, you can infract Lunar for it)

Worth noting that reporting a post on the mod board is the quickest way to make Dave see something.  This technique I learned from this report here...

Reporting to bring it to Dave\'s attention.  (p.s. you can give Mikado an infraction just for giggles if you want)

Is it possible to find which of my posts were reported, but not acted on?

Reports that aren't acted upon don't count against you in any way.  Why would you need to know those?

Children for the love of god......just stop.

You've been one of the biggest whiners in this thread.

Listen.  Everyone.  Legitimate posters will not be banned.  OK?  Got that?

Moderated posts: 4
Infraction points: 0

Another reported post, but no action.

It was a bulls**t report.  I posted this as my response to it:

We need a way to be able to report reports.

We now have a handy list of who the posters with the top 10 infraction points are.  Libertas isn't on that list, though my fellow moderator Sam Spade is.  I can't help but feel that's somewhat wrong, but oh well.

So somehow my count went from 4,1,0 to 5,0,0.

At 16  infractions, and 150 points, we have a new leader of our moderation board!  Everybody else can step on down a notch.

edit: Whoops, missed a troll thread on my board.  Now 17, 160

who?

Stark's last duplicate account, now banned.

The problem with the new system is the low shelf life for infraction points. It seems it penalizes those who go on a particularly dickish rampage for a short period of time for whatever reason, but those who are chronic prickish boils on the forum can just survive on and on and on so long as they know enough to periodically keep their head down. Those consistant SOB's who perpetually drain more from the forum then they add to it are the ones most in need of sanction.

Would Hammy have ever been banned under this version?

Oh, and 3-0-0 btw. Grin

Towards the end, Hammy was posting over 200 posts a day, many of which were worthless.  While I wasn't a moderator at the time, I'm sure that if the current system was in place the mods of the time would get him Muted very quickly.

Why am I 7-0-0?  Lunar actually took action on one of my posts recently (though with no points).

DO NOT REPORT POSTS TO "MAKE A POINT."

DO NOT REPORT POSTS TO "MAKE A POINT."

DO NOT REPORT POSTS TO "MAKE A POINT."

DO NOT REPORT POSTS TO "MAKE A POINT."

REPORT POSTS IF THERE IS OBJECTIONABLE MATERIAL THAT YOU HONESTLY FEEL SHOULD BE INFRACTED.

DO NOT REPORT POSTS TO "MAKE A POINT."

DO NOT REPORT POSTS TO "MAKE A POINT."

DO ALL YOU HORRIBLE PEOPLE UNDERSTAND THIS?

DO NOT REPORT POSTS TO "MAKE A POINT."

You could just set it so the forum doesn't email you?

I think bossman requires them to receive the emails.

Joe Republic turned his off.  I'm really starting to think of doing the same.  I can catch up on the reports here and I don't need half a dozen emails from Kalwejt and BRTD reporting each other every day.

Uh, I've only reported him once or twice.

Upon review, I was exaggerating.  Sorry.  Those reports just tend to stand out, you know?

By the way, nearly every jmfcst post in that thread of his has been reported by someone or another.  They'll sit there on the Post Moderation Board until Dave cleans them out, which means we have to scroll through a s**tload of stale old infracted posts whenever we go to that board.

Hm, I wonder who, if not BRTD (then I apologize for a statement above), is so busy with reporting tons of my posts every day?

Glanced at the first two pages of the mod board, the first one, granted, is a bit Jmfrenzy dominated, but still, they go back to like the 8th, and I only count two reports.  One of which we just talked about today where I felt frumpy grumpsters about a 6 year thread bump but removed the 1pt Smiley

True, but somehow Kalwejt has the second-most infraction points of any active poster (BTW, when did WilliamSargent get officially banned?  Must've missed the festivities). That says something: I doubt anyone would say that Kal is the second-worst active poster here.

Folks, you know, one can lead a happy life never using the report button. Really.

It's the same people that thought that pulling the fire alarm in elementary school was the height of comedy.

Not proven (and I still am undecided myself as to what I think on that), but the consensus was that even if he wasn't Hamilton, he was still a horrible troll.

Libertas, before you ask, the 34 new reports you have are all from Rochambeau.

25. Why did I get a 10 point infraction for the same thing I got a 3 point infraction for that I posted BEFORE? It seems kind of unfair. (It was two cases of posting this: http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=LLwb9NePt94 in response to CARLHAYDEN)

He posted it again.  Lunar, what do you think?  Another 10 points?

So is Al the only moderator who has any death-points?  Unsurprising.

Sam Spade also has something of a tally.
