Bush was totally on top of his game. Apparently the interview was taken a few days before the first debate. It was amazing to see the difference between the two performances.

Yeah, isn't it amazing how much better one can do when they have a lapdog interviewing them.

Whatever man. O'Reilly hammered him more than in any interview I have seen Bush in ever.

Hammered??  Like hammered with a wet spaghetti noodle.

What a sham interview.  He let Bush slip and slide away from the issues without so much as whisper of a follow up or challenge.

Which is really sad because he didn't hammer him at all!  He never pinned him down and made him answer.  Bush hasn't taken a tough interview since he has been in office!  Who has he sat down with in the last 4 years?  Only Fox News.  Who runs Fox News?  Roger Ailes, who used to work with George's old man.

O'Reilly said many times he'd treat Kerry the same way, Kerry just never went on.

Was this before or after O'Reilly harassed a co-worker?

missed it.  but I liked the brief Brokaw interview MSNBC was playing.  O'Reilly has become obnoxious and rude to his guests, so I quit watching, but had I known Bush would be there, I'd have tuned in.

I have only seen short clips of O'Reilly and I really hope that he was having a bad day, because he was being very rude to at young man and was also very manipulative. I was quite chocked to see such a behaviour on a major television channel.

O'Reilly is usually rude and obnoxious to his guests. I quite watching him for that reason. He is a Bush defender all the way. My guess is that whatever questions he asked Bush, were carefully planned out with W before the interview.

O'Reilly generally asks some good questions of his guests, but he interrupts too often with his own opinion.  It's almost like he has a guest on to watch him interview himself.

Yeah, at least Bush had the stones to go on tv with O'Reilly.  Bush did ok in the interview, though he had some very stupid answers.  But remember, Kerry didn't let Bob Woodward interview him and Woodward is a god among the media.
