I would say Bush from a pure logical analysis.  But my gut tells me Kerry and perhaps by a larger margin than anyone expects.

You have been benefitting/suffering from the Richmond sprawl.  I would say it's way too early, based on initial poll populations, to call the county for Kerry, though with the increased population of Richmond commuters, I'm sure there are more in number this year than in 2000.

I just wanted to revive this old thread for laughs.  Mypaldouche predicted that the GOP GOTV effort would be a flop.  Now why hasn't he been back to the forum since Election Day?

Friendfriedflouder did say that we could make fun of him for the next four years, if he was wrong.  We have 1456 days to go, counting leap year.  We are remembering his prediction.

Kerry will win, and Bush won't carry Wisconsin, Minnesota, Pennsylvania, Michigan or Iowa.  The decision to waste time and money there will be proven to be idiotic.  And the GOP GOTV 72 hour plan will be a flop.  Everyone remember  this prediction and you can congratulate me later.

You have to give him this much though.  He called 4 of those states correctly.  Smiley

The bold sentence is the one that allows us to make fun of him.

Didn't he also claim that Kerry would win FL, with Shira's "one million new [Kerry] voters", all those "first time voters?"

And, yes Shira deserves to be made fun of too, because we told her that it wouldn't happen.  Ironically, it looks the Kerry campaign at least thought it might happen and they wasted their resources in FL.

I don't see the point to any of those maps.

I like this one because it shows that cities tyranically rule over suburbs and rural areas.

Okay, then.  yeah, they're mostly leftist propaganda.

but as long as we're at it:  Of course cities rule over the countryside.  At least in a democracy.  See, if you have a million people in a state, and 700 thousand of them live in the capital, and 300 thousand are distributed over the rolling hills and valleys and forests, then votes that are in the nature of public-services expenditures VS. low taxes will always be around 70/30 in favor of the services.  Right?

And that's not tyranny, is it?  That's just majority rule.

Everyone is entitled to a certain amount of local government. I think it's outragous that the income tax is imposed on us by people who don't even own property!

take a look at your map.  Note, in particular the deepest reds are in the lower Mississippi River valley and the Rio Grande valley and in  the reservations of the four-courners area.  Those folks ain't got a pot to piss in.  Seriously, they're not tyrannical over you, man.  And anyway, they lost, so let's stop bickering.
