I rather like Bennet actually...for standing up for his beliefs despite the political disadvantages he faces.

Is there any reason Colorado doesn't like him? (Other than because of his views?)

He epitomizes "Washington Insider".

A moderate Latino Democrat is replaced by a superintendent of Denver schools that nobody has ever heard of because he has connections in Washington. Not Mayor Hickenlooper, not John Salazar, but a no-name superintendent.

I don't know what you mean by "standing up for his beliefs". His voting record on major bills is essentially the same as Mark Udall's.

I would be happy with either Romanoff or Bennet. Both are great candidates but for different reasons.

Why, Bill?

I don't get it.

There's no need for the "other than."  Bennet's a) the incumbent and b) totally unknown and unelected.

Is it hard to imagine that a lot of CO pols would prefer a leader in their legislature over some guy that they have no clue whatsoever as to why he was picked?  I have never heard once, not once, an actual explanation of why he got picked.

That said, I like Bennet and hope he wins.

I doubt Bill Clinton's endorsement means much in Colorado.  May actually be somewhat of a negative given that state's history with him.

It doesn't mean much, but it's certainly a peculiar challenge to the DC establishment, given the fact that the last primary he threw himself at was the complete opposite for an unelectable general election candidate

They voted for him  in 1992 and nearly did again in 1996.

Andrew Romanoff was a big Hillary supporter, whereas Michael Bennet was an Obama supporter.
