There is currently a vacancy in the NE regional Senate seat until Friday the 5th of November, due to the early resignation of Senator Dallasfan65. As such you have the ability to appoint a temporary replacement to serve as Senator until the beginning of the next Senate, when Eraserhead shall be seated.

Thank you for reminding me. Senator-Elect Eraserhead does not wish to take early appointment to the Senate. He will swear in when his first term officially begins. Thus, I am screening Northeastern candidates to serve as a caretaker for the next week. I hope to select an appointment soon.

If I'm not mistaken, three votes have passed, and (I believe) four Representatives whom were elected did not take their seats - you will have to hold a special election.

Actually, nothing requiring the governor's attention has passed, but 3 representative-elects (AndrewCT, who declined the seat, Gramps, and incumbent rep. JustW353) have not taken their seats.

But you can wait on the special elections.  In fact, you could just forget about holding them at all . . .
