The trolls don't return. But I don't think he needs to for us to be satisfied with what must be his dismay.
With the election over, I don't we'll have such problems.

This thread is truly a classic. Talk about a Dewey/Truman backfire . Looks like this troll got caught with his pants down. Somebody ought to save this one!!
LESSON OF THE DAY: If you're gonna be a troll, wait until your claims have been proven before you start asking for accolades.

The oddest thing is that he wasn't
all
wrong. His point was that Bush was, relatively, *much* weaker in the Upper Midwest than most people thought, and that much was quite right. He also claimed that this meant Bush was doomed, and I'm still laughing.

Lewis brings up a good point.
I think both parties may have been guilty of this logical fallacy to a degree, but Democrats obviously more so:
They were very familiar with which districts traditionally go their way, and they know that the margin of victory in their own friendly regions have historically indicated how the remaining neutral and unfriendly regions play out. Ordinarilly a (relatively) Excessive Crush in their friendly districts indicate an edge in swing districts and a significantly respectful fight in ordinarilly unfriendly districts.
In this election, the turnout was tremendously high, but was so for both Wings. Both polar regions had Excessive Crushes that in the final analysis, cancelled each other out. The Democrats were proceeding under the assumption a high turnout would favor them as it indicates popular disatisfaction--but that extra turnout was split down the middle from the polar opposite wings. So of course, it came down to the mushy middle once again, that broke slightly but significantly for Bush.

After reading through this thread, I guess maybe I gave Fishy and the other one too much credit. I at least thought they'd have come back by now with a consiracy theory or a garbage excuse.

Wouldn't somebody who was supposedly volunterring for the Bush Campaign as he claimed he was (even though all of us know better), be happy that Bush has won. You would think even a pessimistic campaign worker would be more than happy to admit he was wrong.

Yeah. I did too. That's what's so funny about it. Trying to pretend to be a Volunteer worker for the Bush campaign is a pretty bad disguise for a Democrat troll.

Yeah, there's no way. I've worked on campaigns before and even if one is that pessimistic, you'e not working for a campaign, I don't think. You're probably sitting at home not even paying attention to it if you're that pessimistic. He was a Dem troll for sure.
