Anyhoo, I'm playing as Republican Spain, it's February 1939 and I've defeated the Falangists (hooray!) Germany has moblised and I'm securing my land borders but trying not to upset the French. I er...know something they don't yet! If Germany move into France as expected will they tolerate me?

How is the lag on HOI3? Do you have the Semper Fi expansion?


I have HOI3, but it was sooooo sloooow, and it seemed a bit unpolished. I'm hoping the next patch and/or expansion will really fix things up.


Until then I'm still sticking with HOI2 Doomsday Armageddon.

Oh my god Vicky 2 looks amazing.

I'm having a lot of fun with the third EU3 expansion at the moment though. Ming China invaded Arabia for some reason, Wales has annexed Scotland and England, and France and Burgundy are both one province minors sandwiched in between Brittany, Flanders and Aragon.

I've already posted the Hohenzollern thread, one of the most amazing things I've ever seen (the guy took Swabia straight from CK through HOI2, but here's this:

This guy is doing the same with Poland, and is almost at the end of EUIII (1760s).  It's pretty good, though it's gotten significantly less good now that Germany-Scandinavia's been smashed.

Whoa. Russia formed? And it expanded realistically into Siberia? That's never happened to me in EU3.

That's every Paradox game. It doesn't mean they aren't all amazing, of course. I might get HOI3 if I happen to have extra money laying around sometime soon, but will get Vicky 2 as soon as humanly possible.

Hearts of Iron 2 is much better than HOI3. HOI3 has too much micromanaging that takes the fun out of the game. Arsenal of Democracy is their new "HOI" since HoI3 bombed

For those of you interested in Vicky 2, they've just released a demo- unfortunately, you can only play as America, it's a limited time frame, and no saves, but it's still pretty solid. I'm picking this game up as soon as I get a bit of extra cash.
