Democratic nominee Mark Lakers dropped out of the race last week.  The party is looking hard trying to find a credible replacement.  No one has stepped forward as yet.

I would guess that a Democratic state senator not up for reelection this year (they serve staggered 4-year terms) would step forward to  make the run.  But with no money on the table, I can understand that no one is eager to lose by a 3 to 1 margin.
