Wales is home to a small, hairy dwarvish subspecies of humans called "the Welsh."  They are generally docile, though they do get aggressive if you spray them with warm water.

Many of them left Wales after a potato blight, that while it didn't ruin the potato crop, made the potatoes mangled and deformed, and thus nearly impossible for the Welshmen to get out of the ground with their small, stubby hands.  Many have since interbred with a slightly larger, more pompous, though very peculiar subspecies called "the English".
