I generally like PPP as a pollster after their run in 2008 and 2009, but I still don't trust them in North Carolina—their numbers there just seem bad. I think it's a matter of them thinking they know their state better then they do and coming up with some unusual weights. It's akin to good ol' Harry insisting that Democrats will pick up Senate seats in Mississippi, and if you don't think so, well ... you just don't know his state like he does, y'all.
