Not too surprising.  I don''t know about other markets, but Barnes has been saturating Augusta's TV stations with his ads for weeks now.  Baker has run some ads, but I have yet to see any ad for any of the Republican candidates.  Once the Republican candidate starts running ads for the general election, I'd expect his numbers to go up once undecided voters know who he or she is.

Don't get your hopes up. Barnes has too much baggage that Republicans will be  able to use against him. Once the Republicans starts comparing Barnes and Obama, it will be over.

They don't need to compare Barnes to Obama, running clips from Barnes' own whiny primary ads should do the trick.  While his ads will likely enable him to avoid a primary runoff, in a Republican-leaning state such as Georgia they will hurt him in November.

Barnes seems like a major FF by southern Democrat standards.

Why thank you Eraserhead, you're so kind. Grin

But, oddly enough, the Georgia Democratic Party isn't all that far to the right like other southern Democratic parties. I mean, it's not overtly liberal, but, it's not DINO. Wink
