That's what the GOP party is becoming.  The Tea Party reaches out the lowest quality people in terms of intelligence, knowledge and education.

It's an embarrassment.

Wait, you think the problem with Sharron Angle, who favors scientology massages and abolishing social security, is that she supports gun rights in Nevada?
I was referring to her decidedly ill-advised comment concerning "second amendment liberties." I fully support gun rights, within reason. IIRC she just wants to partially privatize social security, like Bush.

They didn't the TEA PARTY did. Nice going folks, you blew another one.

I'm going add this to the NY-23 list.
In other words, the NV GOP. As an example, Ron Paul would done far better in the GOP caucus in Nevada in 2008, but the GOP state chairwoman essentially fixed the election to ensure that he would not come close to achieving victory. That chairwoman was Sue Lowden. A bunch of die-hard conservative activists had a bit of a grudge against her for that.

NY-23 looks like it could go Dem again due to further GOP infighting.

EDIT: Hi Morgan!

Why did the NV GOP just have to nominate Sharron "Second Amendment" Angle?

What?  I thought you were a libertarian, Wormy.

By the way, welcome to Atlasia!

hahaha, good job teabaggers!

Sharon Angle: "As your U.S. Senator, I'm not in the business of creating jobs."

What an idiot.

It's not the job of the federal government to create jobs.  Unfortunately most voters are idiots.

During a recession it is. It's the only entity with that power during a recession, because it can deficit spend and borrow all it wants.

At least she's not like the CA GOP nominee for Senate who has a proven track record of destroying jobs.

That can be debated, but I would rather have Fiorina than Angle in senate.

Nevada Republican voters are so out of touch with their state as a whole that they thought running a teabagger wackjob like Angle in a state that Obama carried by double-digits would be a good idea.

She only got 29% of the vote, so it's not like the party gave her a resounding endorsement to be their nominee.

The Tea Party people are voting for the diametric opposite of whomever they consider "established." Since the Establishment has first dibs on all candidates with college degrees, or with native political skill, the Tea Partiers have only slim pickings with the remainder.

I would like to see another poll on this race, I don't think the lead is this much, I think it will stay within the margin of error.
