It's been announced this morning that 337,000 jobs were added in October, and the unemployment rate bumped up 0.1% to 5.5%.  The market concensus was that 175,000 jobs would be created and unemployment levels remain unchanged.

In addition, the September figures were revised from 96,000 jobs to 139,000 jobs created.  If you combine the new figures from today with the previous numbers over the last 3.75 years, the doom and gloom projection about Bush being the first President to experience job losses under his term might end up being false (assuming that approximately 450,000 jobs are created over the next two months).

So, for what it's worth...

----

Update:  August jobs report was also revised up 70,000 jobs (trying to find what the last report on August jobs were).

The only way I'm going to be convinced that the economy is doing well is when someone hires me.

Our company has no offices in Minn, but if you are willing to relocate, I can always pass your resume on to our recruiter.  We have offices on both coasts, with plenty in the DC metro area and San Diego.  This region out here has a labor shortage, with our unemployment rate under 3%.

Just let me know.
