It's an internal poll. There should be an (R) after Magellan. This district is gerrymandered to favor Dems, so I'm skeptical.

Which is pretty much the only thing Hare has ever had going for him, no?

You must know more about his record than I do. I believe he was on his predecessor's staff, so would have contacts and know the district, but the last time this came up I remember people mostly commenting on how blah he looked in his official photo.

Hare had a bad utube experience, and I can understand why he is behind. He is the personification of a hack. Still, a big swing from the district's PVI.

Interesting. I thought Hare was pretty entrenched here.

That (and that the district is part of a bipartisan incumbent protect gerrymander that doesn't seem to be working as well as California's though the districts look fabulously bad) is all I know about Hare, really. Longterm associate of his predecessor (personal friend, too?) IIRC.

The district was gerrymandered to suit Lane Evans after 2000. Hare was Evans' district director and knew the Dem leaders in the district well enough to get the ballot appointment in 2006 when Evans retired after the primary.

It's a working class district with a lot of union support. Mostly small and mid-sized cities with rural areas in between. It's probably not as liberal as Evans and Hare have voted. I'm not surprised to find polls showing a competitive race.
