Indeed, but do you honestly think that if Obama was President in 2000, as in, no major and successful terrorist attack on the US had been committed, he would not get the same pass Bush did? Only Democratic hacks could answer yes to that.

Circumstances are different, jfern acts like if another terrorist attack happened today, that Obama would be treated different because he is a Democrat. I was simply pointing that out.

I don't think it's hackish to say that Republicans are sometimes given more of the benefit of the doubt when it comes to national security, and have since the Cold War. The Republicans were all over Clinton on the USS Cole attack.
