Flashback to March 2019...

And now, I stand before you today at our great state's capital to announce my candidacy for Presidency of the United States of America! For the past 9  years, I have been standing up for West Virginian values in the Senate. Now, my friends, I'm ready to bring those values to the White House! It's time for a bold progressive who is ready to bring America the change it has been longing for in decades, and continue to make the progress President Obama made while also cutting our national deficit. It's time for bi-partisan leaders to come together and make this nation stronger than it ever has been before. I am ready to take on that task, and I ask you all to join me. Thank you, and God Bless!

Flasback to January 2019...

"I, Bob McDonnell came here today for a reason. That reason is that I will be putting my name on this Election Ballot for President. I am putting my name forward because I believe that my name is the only in the republican party that has true coservative values and rally supporters from across the nation. I am putting my name forward to make America, and this world a Better Place. Thank you, Richmond and goodnight."

After spending several months gaining funds from big Democratic donors and laying the foundation in the leadoff states, Senator Goodwin starts to hit the ground running.

Yes, I know that so far I am the only candidate in this race. But that may change, and if it does, I'll be ready. My camp is ready to sweep every state in this primary then go on and sweep the nation in the general. I sincerely believe my centrist policy is what will bring America forward, not backward like it has been going for the past 3 years under President Jindal.

Mid August 2019

In McSchmadden v. North Carolina, the Supreme Court rules in favor of gun control advocates, in a 5-4 decision.  The NRA is vehemently opposed to this ruling and many southerners will protest the ruling.

On "Face The Nation", Senator Dick Durbin endorses Carte Goodwin.

I know he's the only candidate in it now on the Democratic side, but even if others enter, I sincerely believe America would benefit from the policies of a Goodwin administration, which is why I support him.

At a rally in South Carolina with Senator Manchin and Senator Mark Warner, Carte Goodwin comments on the recent Supreme Court ruling...

I certainly am surprised by what happened with this decision. It wasn't what I was expecting. While I think there should be some regulations on gun control, I worry that some of the measures taking in this ruling will threaten the safety of many Americans who depend on their gun as their token to life.

Bob McDonnell announces a southern tour, that will include Iowa, South Carolian, and Florida.

"...As far as the Supreme Court's new ruling, I believe that it should be repealed, because all American's deserve the right to bear arms! This was the intentions of the foundinf fathers. This nation was built on conservative values, and I believe it should stay that way. Let us continue the accomplishments of the Jindal administration, and pass the torch of freedom and liberty to me! I am the only one in this race who has the experiance of governing, and the leadership to propel our country in a new era of greatness!"

Carte Goodwin announces that David Plouffe, who managed Barack Obama's 2008 and 2012 Presidential campaigns, will serve as his campaign manager.

I'm excited to be working for a winner in Carte Goodwin. Not only am I confident we will sweep the primary, but I think we can also sweep the nation in November, 2020. We're going to start building this momentum by touring all 50 US states, starting with Alaska and ending with Maine. The name Carte Goodwin will be known in houses all across America, and that's the same name of our next President.

Senator Carte Goodwin makes campaign stops in Arizona, New Mexico, and Utah, slamming his Republican opponents...

Throughout this campaign, I will continue to stick to the facts and not try to smear my opponents. It's such a shame that this race has barely even started and Republicans are already throwing each other under the bus to gain political leverage. That's not the type of leadership this nation needs or deserves. I plan on bringing in a transparent and open-minded administration that will happily work with both sides of the aisle to create bi-partisanship. One idea I've often suggested is arranged the Senate floor by alphabetization, not by party. I'll continue to push for that if elected.

Sen. Charlie Crist makes an important announcement:

"Ladies and Gentleman, I am announcing my intentions to run for President of the United States as a member of the Democratic Party. Let's face the facts, our country is in bad shape. The Armed forces have been stuck in the middle east since the start of the Century, The Nation's economy is in mediocre shape, we face an incoming energy crisis not seen in over 40 years, and our government is not where it should be. I respect President Jindal, but it is clear new leadership is needed, and myself and my campaign believes that i am the man for the job. But, we need your help, I intend to campaign and meet the public, in which the important issues that public worry about will be raised and I will give my stance on every issue. The public needs an honest President, and i will not lie about my political stances, and what i plan to fix the problems. Thank you very much for coming."

Speaking to a crowd in Des Moine, Iowa with Senator Harkin, Senator Goodwin welcomes Charlie Crist into the race...

I'd like to welcome Senator Crist into the race. It'll certainly be an interesting race now that I have a challenger. I look forward to debating and discussing the issues with Senator Crist over the next few months. I also look forward to the public seeing the stark differences between myself and Senator Crist.  It's still going to be interesting to be the only candidate who's been elected as a Democrat only, and never as a Republican. Wink

Once again, I wish Senator Crist the best of luck in this race.

Charles Grassley and Mike Huckabee make a joint appearance in Des Moines to endorse Governor McDonnell.

Mitt Romney makes a speech in New Hampshire.

"I came here today to make an announcement. I have decided that I will endorse the honorable Governor Bob McDonnell as President of the United States. I have made this deciscion because he is the only one capable enough to take the job. Bob McDonnell has proven time and time again during his time as governor that he is brave and strong enough to make the right deciscions when his state needed him. When Bob walked into his office, he had a deficit, and he walked out with a surplus. There is one job, and only one man can fill it. His name is Bob McDonnell. Thank you, New Hampshire and god bless America!"

P.S- will there be any state poll maps?

After completing a quick nationwide tour, Carte Goodwin begins focusing on the South, with stops in the following states:
Virginia
North Carolina
South Carolina
Georgia
Alabama
Tennessee
Mississippi
Louisiana
Arkansas
Oklahoma

In New Hampshire, Senator Jeanne Shaheen endorses Carte Goodwin for President.

At the end of the day, this party needs a strong center-left candidate, not a center-right candidate. I'm proud to throw my support behind Carte Goodwin, the next President of the United States of America!

Tim Pawlenty endorses Governor McDonnell in Iowa.

"Every time I look at the news, when I look at the polls, there us only one choice. That choice is Bob McDonnell. Under a McDonnell administration, you won't be in fear when you go to sleep at night. Bob won't let the Taliban, Al Qaeda or any other terrorist get any where near nuclear weapons in Pakistan, or Anywhere. When it's primary night, vote for my friend Bob. Vote for a better future."
