I would have been more interested, and especially more knowledgeable, about one with current territories, well, here, I could just vote vote according to geographical criteria, not historical ones, or really not much. So if the point of this survivor is more about the culture/politics/society of these provinces on this epoch than about what they geographically are, better I don't vote maybe.

A survivor on the regions would be awful because the regions are artificial creations which make no sense and are pure creatures of French centralism. I don't even think I'd vote in such a thing.

Well, we have had a long debate about it one year ago, and other times too, we won't run it again, I partly disagree on some things, partly agree on others here.

About something on current regions, no matter how the one can see them, that are existing territories that we can qualify and judge. Then a survivor on them could be relevant.

Though in term of French geographical survivors, which are some in which I'd be interested, maybe most people could agree on the fact that one on Départements and one Villes could be interesting.

I'd be glad to participate in one, but don't expect me to lead one.

Well, let's say we're giving it back its independence.

Oh never was independent as far as I know, only wanted to be different. (has been a big place of protestantism, and a big resisting one, thus the siege).

Plus hey, there is the butter of Surgères, the Moules (mussels) de Bouchot, and well, a part of my family.

Anyways it was a part of France in theory, but I've heard it was in fact pretty independent from the crown before the siege.

Hmm, I checked Wikipedia, it has sometimes passed in the hands of English, but not a lot of time, and anyways apparently, outside of the Réforme which took over in La Rochelle, it wouldn't have been more independent than any others, and it became an official province in 1374, before it was attached to Saintonge and ruled by Ducs of Poitou.

And, yes, that Marche, I had never heard of it before, and looks kinda weird yes, plus seems a part of it would match the area between Limoges and Poitiers, that I did by car once, and which was boring as hell.
