I challenge all of you to create your own policy papers of your political utopia:

In other words, create a "blueprint" of your American utopia. What would you change, keep, add on or take away?

Here is a very mini-example of what I'm talking about:

Social Security
Americans would have the ability to invest 10% of their government issues social security funds in a number of federally accredited investment options.

Please include your stances on national security, economy/taxes, health care, social issues, foreign policy, energy, etc.

Remember, this is your utopia, so this is the time to be an idealist. I will post mine in due course.

You can submit your policy papers in a number of installments, a pdf or website link, etc. Be detailed!!!

In my political utopia I would be too lazy to write "policy papers" or a "blueprint" in the first place.

Is it a world government?  Does everyone else agree with me?

No, imagine you are the president and you have the ability to impose your "blueprint," unsure if everyone would agree with you or not-regardless of support, just put down your policies, as extreme (or moderate, or w/e) as they may be.

I'm not sure what you mean, but I'd like to -

Raise taxes to these levels:

50-100K 30%
100-200 50%
200-500 60%
500-1mil 70%
1-10mil  80%
10 mil+  90%

Capital gains to be treated as regular income.

I would institute a comfortable dole - providing food, rent, and spending money subsidies to ensure that anyone without a job would have a tolerable subsistence.  (something in the range of $700 rent, $500 food, and $300 misc.).  Free universal health care.  Free university education (plus takeover of 'private' educational institutions).  $15/hour minimum wage.  Expansion of government hiring at all levels.  End 'Free Trade' - manage trade closely to ensure that any beneficiaries of trade have to pay for the negative effect (for example, if people want to buy Toyotas, they have to pay a tariff which pays for the dislocation, retraining, etc, of GM workers).  Lastly and nearest to my heart, legalization of prostitution in all its various shapes and forms.. as well as legalization of drugs.

Something like this, create your "ideal government," your "ideal policies," etc.

I'm not willing to write 43 pages to save my job, much less post something on here.

I will say this though - I only read that thing as far as 'good-paying jobs', and then I closed the window.  Would it really have killed them with the dunderhead vote to write 'well paid' jobs?  Would that really have turned off the numbskulls so much?

Wait.... In an ideal world there are jobs and governments? I don't think you have thought this through well enough.

Does this include the views of others within this utopia?  For example, a place where everyone is tolerant of gays, etc.?

I think my original post was poorly worded. When I say utopia, I mean what would your dream policies be (something realistic not like unicorns for every child, something like, internet access in every school), etc.

To be honest, my utopia would simply be a stateless moneyless society in which there is no greed.

Yes, there are lots of schools, especially smaller ones, and elementary ones without internet access in every classroom.

I would change the language to French.

Keep all females.

Add on French males.

And take away American males, to well, Nunavut let's say.

The problem with that would be a disproportionate and catastrophic 5-1 female-to-male ratio. Wink

That's a wonderful ratio, and advocated in most mine-shaft reproductive plans.

I would like to compliment Bunwoah on his excellent thinking, and remind him only that 80% of american females are so large in scale and ponderous in execution that he may not be able to differentiate them from our (justly famed) Prize Angus Beeves.
