All quiet on the Western Front.  Okay, that sucked...where is bullmoose when you need a funny reminder to keep the game moving.

I got nothing...except maybe this

In light of the Russian surprise assault on India, the Germans decided to retake it. Pulling the troops out of Africa and shipping them to India in what was likely to be one of the pivotal battles of the war.

In the European theater the German forces attacked both Karelia and the Ukraine. The German navy, supported by the entire Luftwaffe, also attacked the Allied navy in the North Sea.

The naval battle was an immense German success, with no casualties incurred and the Allied navy wiped out. In the Ukraine things also went well, with the Germans recapturing the Black Soil in spite of heavy losses. But in Karelia the bloody battle ended inconclusively, with the Russians still in control of Leningrad. And in India, the naval support faltered miserably, leading to India also remaining in Allied hands.

It is now German noncombat moves.

The Luftwaffe returned to Germany and the Norwegian coastal bases. New forces were mobilized.

With passage through India cleared, the British armour in Persia blitzed through to Indo-China catching the Japanese bombers by surprise on the ground, quickly destroying them. The remaining British forces in Africa started a slow reconquest of territory. They could hope for back-up though - a brand new industrial complex had been built in South Africa. With new tanks mobilized in India, the colonies seemed to be in full swing again.

The Japanese tanks in the North started blitzing through the endless stretches of Siberia. Further South a major attack on Sinkiang was launched. Although the Chinese forces perished in the process, the Russians successfully repulsed the attack with the attacking force left annihilated.

In a spectacular all-out assault Japanese air, naval and land forces attacked Indo-China. Though the battleship once again proved completely ineffectual, they still managed to wipe out the British defenders without losses.

Japanese non-combat moves.

Three tanks and two infantry wiped out at the cost of only two infantry.  That is brutal.  I kind of know how Bullmoose felt about India.  Things were looking so good last round, what happened?

The Japanese cowardly withdrew from Alaska, instead moving the invasion force to Siberia. They also left the Indian cost, sailing eastward and mobilized new troops in Manchuria and Japan as well as naval forces off the Japanese coast.

NOTE! One of Junkie's orders (sending the transport ship from the Indian coast) was a bit unclear. I did what I thought he meant but I also PMed him and that might change the direction or move of that ship. I figured it would not matter greatly for the American decision anyway though.

It is now the US turn! You have 38 PUs.

I also have to note that a, imo, rather beautiful Allied move is now possible. But I will leave it to the players to figure it out. Wink

Damn!  What did I screw up!  I don't see it and I thought I was playing fairly well.

I guess wrong. Here is the real map that the US should base its moves on. Only difference is that pesky transport is now off the coast of the Philippines.

The Americans continued to build their navy and move naval resources Westward, with the Western navy now creeping up towards Alaska. Armoured forces also recaptured Alaska.

It is now Soviet's turn! You have 28 PUs.

Cool.  By the way, your last turn was really good.  Put me in a bad way.  This has been a real fun game.

Okay, sorry my moves took so long guys. Was deciding between three different ideas on what to do; eventually decided on a fourth option that hadn't come to me earlier. Hope it works. Grin

After careful deliberation, Stalin made his move. And it turned out to be something of an anti-climax. In a determined attack Ukraine was recaptured, with marginal loss of infantry. Further East Russian infantry overran the undefended China. After a careful re-positioning and mobilization of forces, the Soviets were prepared for whatever the Axis would bring.

An expeditionary force reoccupied the now defenseless Karelia. In the South, a German panzerblitz with air support quickly overran the Ukraine with only light casualties. In Persia too the German reasserted themselves, although with some losses.

It is now Germany's non-combat.
