We shall fight on the beaches, we shall fight on the landing grounds, we shall fight in the fields and in the streets, we shall fight in the hills; we shall never surrender, and even if, which I do not for a moment believe, this island or a large part of it were subjugated and starving, then our Empire beyond the seas, armed and guarded by the British Fleet, would carry on the struggle, until, in God's good time, the new world, with all its power and might, steps forth to the rescue and the liberation of the old.

Churchill held a radio speech to the British people, commenting the news of the American invasion of Algeria:

"The new world came to the aid of the old and as we are brethren peoples, so we shall fight. On the vast steppes and in the dark jungles of the African continent, the British and American forces shall fight side by side. The Atlantic is ours and from that power base, Anglo-Saxon might shall hit the German army like a Torrent of Justice. Rest assured that Britains never shall be slaves!"

I agree. That seems to fit better with how much the respective armies can do during one turn. It seems a bit too little for a year, I think.

It's definitely not dying during my turn. I have sent my orders to Gustaf a while ago, but he had to ask me an additional question about them, so he hasn't had the chance of resolve them yet.

My combat moves were sent in and resolved a while ago, just for your information. Now I am just waiting anxiously for the update so I can do my noncombat moves. Wink

My noncombat moves have also been submitted for several days, just so you know that I am not delaying the game.

I'm sorry! I have been busy with my studies the last week or so and that is the reason for my slow chain of orders. Finally, Gustaf has my noncombat moves now.

We will probably have to wait a few days for the updates now. Gustaf is away and comes home on Sunday.

Now, 10 days have passed since the last post. Will there be any Japanese moves?

Should I interpret the continued silence as a surrender from the Axis?

I might be a bit slow with my first German moves, since I have a lot to do for the next few days, but after that I will have more time for this. (I now realize that I have never played Germany before in A&A. We'll see how that goes.)

No problems now! As I said, I will decide about and send in my moves as soon as I have time, but I'm doing a lot of reading and essay writing right now.

I am sorry that I have been so slow. The moves will be sent in tomorrow or the day after that. Right now I am doing my best to get an annoying essay finished. Two more pages ...

Sorry for the delay. My combat moves have now been sent to Gustaf. I promise to be much faster on my next turn. I have had an unusually stressful period the last few weeks.

I don't know yet. Gustaf is away the whole week and I doubt that he will have time to execute the orders.

Maybe rename the thread again, so that it is obvious that it is now UK's turn?
